Q: How long has California Lasers been in business.
A: We have been here close to 30 years, servicing the medical, aerospace and semiconductor industries. We occupy a 30,000 sqft building filled with technology.
Q: Do you have the capability to laser drill or hole drill EDM 0.005" dia hole through only one side of 1/4" thick Inconel 625 tube?
A: It is not a problem to drill a 0.005” diameter holes through 625 Inconel. With laser it will be less expensive but there is a taper to the drilling, smallest hole is about 0.0028”, with EDM it will be more expensive but there is virtually no taper to the drilling, smallest hole is about 0.004”
Q: What is the smallest hole you can drill?
A: Currently the smallest hole we can drill is 0.0008” diameter, but it is limited to thinner material.
Q: Does California Lasers hold any certification?
A: Yes, we hold current certification and registrations. AS9100, ISO9001, CAGE CODE, ITAR
Q: What is the best material for Laser welding?
A: Wow, there is a lot of material that can effectively be laser welded. Our favorites are titanium, inconel 625 and 718, stainless steels like 304L.

Q: Can you cut plastic?
A: Most all material can be cut including plastic and metals.
